• Manor House & Duck House

De La Fontaine is a lovely Maria-Theresia style estate in the quiet and rural setting of Feilsdorf in the heart of the South Eifel. The elegant Manor House and the quirky Duck House are perfect places for a romantic hide-away or ideal bases for touring the area. We are only a forty-five-minute drive from the centre of the historic City of Trier—once capital of the Roman Empire—and within easy traveling distance to Luxembourg, Belgium, France, and the Netherlands.

The 17th century manor house De La Fontaine was partly re-built between 1812 and 1816 and retains many original features from both periods. Set in seven acres of gardens and paddocks on the village outskirts and elevated above the Prüm River valley, with fields and rugged countryside all around, it is one of the best locations in the area. The Manor House and the Duck House are rural retreats in which to relax and unwind after a busy day exploring the glories of Trier, Luxembourg, or the stunning nature of the Eifel National Park. Why not stroll by the river Prüm or call in at a nearby restaurant for an excellent meal?

Away from noise and stress, the spacious estate with two separate holiday homes and our private house is set amid horse paddocks and open fields, offering accommodation for up to 10 guests. Old oak beams and sandstone floors, combined with modern comfort and cosy country-style kitchens, give both the “Manor House” and the “Duck House” their distinctive charm.

Comfortable outdoor seating areas invite our guests to relax and unwind during the warmer months. Free Wi-Fi is, of course, available. Dogs are very welcome and can roam freely in the gardens surrounding the holiday homes. Electric vehicles can be charged using the on-site wallbox.
